In July 2009 we adopted a little "Chiweenie" Puppy and called him our "Bear." He quickly became our little baby and he became a important part of our family.
In August 2010 we found out the best news we ever heard in our life. We were expecting a baby... Life began to transition for us and over the next 9 months we prepared for our little one, and wondered how Bear would take to the new addition to our family.

One April 15th, 2011 we welcomed our sweet Carson into the world. It was love at first sight. I never knew the true meaning of that saying until I saw him for the first time.
2 days later we brought Carson home to meet Bear for the first time.
It took some time, but as Carson grew bigger, Bear grew less weary of him and began to follow him around. They'd take naps together, hang out on the play mat together, if Carson cried Bear was right by his side wondering what was wrong.
As Carson began to do new things (Sitting up, crawling, walking) they began to actually play together and explore together.
First thing in the morning when we wake up and come upstairs, Carson's first instinct is to look for Bear. He knows his hiding places (usually it's on the couch under a blanket). And when he finds him, he gets the biggest smile on his face and says "Bear Bear" in his sweet voice and gently pets his head. Then climbs up next to him and cuddles.
We are so thankful for the love that these two have grown towards each-other. And we are looking forward to watching them continue to grow their special bond.
